Dominica Fisher

(American, b. 1979)

Dominica Fisher approaches her work as both artist and investigator. Drawn to the edges of perception, she explores the intersection of science fiction, energy, and the unseen—areas many of us sense, but rarely stop to examine closely.

Her practice is rooted in observation and inquiry. Through meditation, writing, and photography, Fisher studies moments that exist just beyond immediate awareness. Using her camera to slow time and shape light, she creates images that feel less constructed and more discovered—quiet evidence of something operating beneath the surface.

There is a personal dimension to this work. Fisher’s curiosity is informed by a lifetime of experiences she describes as paranormal—fleeting, often unexpected, and difficult to explain. Rather than dismiss them, she leans in. That willingness to engage has become central to her process, deepening both the frequency and clarity of what she captures.

At its core, her work is about energy—how it moves, how it connects, and how it reveals itself when we are paying attention. The images are restrained, but they carry a sense of expansion. They ask the viewer to pause, to look longer, and to consider that what we call “unseen” may simply be unstudied.

Fisher’s work suggests we are closer than we think to understanding these spaces—that the boundary between the mystical and the measurable is not fixed, but shifting.
